Police launch investigation after young woman is groped in Lincoln

Sexual assault: A man approached a 22-year-old woman on Carholme Road, touching her breast before walking off.

Police are investigating a sexual assault in Lincoln whereby a man approached a 22-year-old woman on Carholme Road, touching her breast before walking off.

The woman left Sainsburys on Carholme Road in Lincoln on Monday, May 11 between 12.50pm and 12.55pm and crossed the road, heading towards Nelson Street.

She encountered two men walking in the opposite direction. As the men walked by one of them sexually assaulted her by touching her breast.

The offending man then walked away towards University Bridge. He is described as white, 5′ 9″ tall with broad shoulders.

Police say he was average build but scruffy looking, with a slim face and short blonde hair.

He was wearing a blue raincoat type jacket with a zip which had a red block down the left side.
