Future fashion talent showcased on the catwalk in Lincoln

Eclipse: Future stars of the fashion world showed off their talents in Lincoln before their university graduate show.

The creative collections of 23 graduating students from the University of Lincoln’s BA (Hons) Fashion course were in the spotlight as they prepared to leap into the competitive industry.

As part of its annual Graduate Fashion Show the university raised the curtain for a special show on Friday, May 29 at LPAC.

The show this year was titled Eclipse and took on a dark to light theme.

It included imaginative and theatrical work from student Billy Harrison. Billy, who secured a year in industry working with leading retailers such as Debenhams, has created a unique collection of gender-transcending garments.

Displayed by professional transvestite models, the collection featured a decadent range of printed fabrics, intricate beading and jewel embossed show wear.

Also on show was a collection from fashion illustrator Charlotte Hartley. Taking an original approach to pattern cutting and design, the experimental collection is influenced by both her unconventional style of fashion illustration and her chosen theme of ‘dream states’.
