Police are appealing for the identity of a man in connection with a sexual assault which occurred behind the St Marks retail park in Lincoln.

As previously reported, Lincolnshire Police appealed for witnesses after a 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted to the rear of the Maplin store on Firth Road at around 7.30pm on Tuesday, June 30.

A man, who had been watching her, was reported to have grabbed her from behind before sexually assaulting her.

He ran from the scene in the direction of Toys R Us and possible on to Tritton Road.

The offender was described as a white man, mid 20s with short blond hair and wearing a blue t-shirt and orange trousers.

Officers have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, as he may be able to help with enquiries.
