Land in Witham St Hughs, referred to as Cell 17, has been earmarked for the construction of 104 new homes by developers Persimmon Homes.
The site, which is an undeveloped three hectare field off Meadowsweet Lane, is on the western edge of Witham St Hughs – around eight miles from Lincoln.
If approved by North Kesteven District Council, the site would include a mixture of house types and sizes ranging from two to five bedrooms.
Housing will include terraced, semi-detached and detached dwellings and would also include 19 affordable homes.
A ‘pre-app application’ was submitted in January 2015 for 108 homes with key issues arising such as the density of the plans and the submitted travel plan and the final 104-home plan was created.
Part of the application site benefits from already having outline planning permission.
The site forms part of a wider Witham St Hughs development. Outline planning permission was granted in October 200 for a scheme comprising housing, a primary school, community buildings, shops and public spaces.
Since then there have been a number of phased development applications for the area.
A decision by the council’s planning committee is expected in September.

North Lincolnshire Council has officially approved a devolution deal for Greater Lincolnshire, despite objections from members of the opposition, who abstained from the vote.
With the deal already receiving approval from North East Lincolnshire and Lincolnshire County councils last week, it has now progressed to an eight-week consultation phase across our region.
