Fans of good old-fashioned Lincolnshire bangers descended on uphill Lincoln for the annual Sausage Festival in the city.
The festival was held in Lincoln Castle’s grounds on October 24 from 10am to 5pm, with hundreds of visitors sampling and buying the best produce the county has to offer.
A range of children’s entertainment such as face-painting, clown and circus skills, cookery sessions and live music were also provided at the fun-filled event.
To encourage visitors to attend from further afield, Virgin Trains East Coast put on an extra direct service from London to Lincoln, leaving Kings Cross at 9.10am.
The festival was organised by the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, in association with the Select Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire County Council and the Lincoln Business Improvement Group.
