Police investigate armed robbery in village shop south of Lincoln

Investigation underway: A woman has been left shaken up after a man entered a shop in a village south of Lincoln, and demanded money from her at knife-point.

A woman has been left shaken up after a man entered a shop in a village south of Lincoln, and demanded money from her at knife-point.

Police received reports that a man carrying a ‘knife-type weapon’ had entered a business on College Road in Cranwell at 10.40am on October 30.

The armed robber demanded money from a female member of staff, which was handed over.

The woman was not injured but was shocked and unsettled by the incident.

Police are searching for the suspect, who was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top, dark tracksuit bottoms, dark gloves, and carrying a yellow drawstring bag.

He is believed to have left the premises and headed in the direction of RAF Cranwell.

A number of enquiries are being carried out in connection with the incident and investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything in connection with the incident, or anyone who saw a man matching the description.
