Services disrupted as person is hit by a train in Lincoln

Person hit: It has been confirmed that a person has been struck by a train in the Doddington Road area of Lincoln. Emergency services are on scene.

It has been confirmed that a person has been struck by a train in the Doddington Road area of Lincoln. Emergency services are on scene.

British Transport Police say that the incident happened at around 9am on the morning of Friday, November 6 between Doddington Road and Skellingthorpe Road.

Police say Doddington Road and Station Road in North Hykeham will be affected for at least a couple of hours.

An air ambulance landed at the scene at around 9.20am.

East Midlands Trains have reported that services in the area are disrupted at Hykeham. Replacement buses are being arranged.
