Jodie Bailey, 29, of Rumbold Street in Lincoln, admitted theft from a person when she appeared before Lincoln Magistrates Court on Friday, November 6.

As previously reported, a 59-year-old woman was using the Santander ATM in Exchange Arcade on Tuesday, September 29 when she was approached and asked if she needed assistance.

Jodie withdrew £300 before giving the victim £20 and leaving the scene with the rest of the cash.

She has been given a 26 week prison sentence, ordered to pay £280 compensation and court costs of £180.
