Human bones discovered in Lincolnshire garden

Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that an investigation is underway after human bones were found in a garden.

A homeowner in Stickney north of Boston discovered the bones while digging a hole in their garden.

The bones have been examined by an anthropologist and are confirmed to be human.

Further tests are required to establish the age of the bones and determine if they are from an ancient burial.

Carbon dating tests can take some time to complete so it may be several days before more is known.
