Lincoln High Street outdoor shop to shut

Closing up shop: Another Lincoln store due to close its doors only two years after opening.

Outdoor clothing and accessory store Regatta confirmed that it will be closing its Lincoln branch on High Street from February 21 due to a drop in profits, only two years after opening.

The Regatta HR team are working with the five staff currently employed to help provide them prepare to find new jobs.

Joanne Black MD of Retail for Regatta said: “We are sorry to confirm that February 21 will be the last day trading for Regatta Lincoln.

“The Hawkshead Lincoln store opened its doors in June 2013. It was rebranded to Regatta in October 2014.

“Despite every effort from a fantastic in-store team and support from head office, the store has not achieved the profit levels expected and we had to take the hard decision to close.

“As part of our consultation process, we have supported our staff by offering help with CV writing, interview guidance and time off for interviews and as we always strive to retain our team members wherever possible, we have also provided details of other suitable roles within the group that maybe of interest.”
