Tributes pour in for two bikers killed in weekend Lincoln crashes

Hundreds of people have paid tributes to motorcyclists killed in two separate crashes in Lincoln within 24 hours.

A 19-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with a parked car on Woodfield Avenue just after 1pm on Friday, February 12.

The teen, who is from the Lincoln area, was airlifted to Lincoln County Hospital for treatment of his injuries but sadly died in the following few hours.

Full details of the victim are expected to be released later this week. He has been named locally as Tommy Teasdale.

Many have expressed messages of sympathy.

Kim Misiak said: “Such a loveable young lad, he will be sadly missed by so many, such a cheeky smile. RIP, my thoughts are with your family.”

At around 6.50pm on Friday, February 12 a 41-year-old motorcyclist was also killed in a crash on the B1188 at Nocton.

The rider was sadly pronounced dead at the scene after colliding with a car.

The 41-year-old has been named locally as Wayne Lovegrove. 

Hundreds of people, including Wayne’s family members have left tributes for him on social media.

His daughters Kristy, Tazmin and Jade posted “RIP daddy” on The Lincolnite.

Will Hunter said: “Missing you too Wayne, my heart goes out to your family who I love dearly. I will look after your granddaughter who I have to your beloved daughter Jade Lovegrove. We will bring up Ellie to miss and love you always. Rest in peace in heaven and look after Tommy while you’re up there.:

Investigating officers continue to appeal for witnesses of either crash to get in touch via the 101 non-emergency number.
