Firefighters tackle tractor fire near Lincoln

Firefighters were called to a village south of Lincoln on Good Friday after a tractor burst into flames. Crews from North Hykeham attended the blaze off Lincoln Road in Bassingham at around 4.12pm. Firefighters were called to a village south of Lincoln on Good Friday after a tractor burst into flames.

Crews from North Hykeham attended the blaze off Lincoln Road in Bassingham at around 4.12pm.

Black plumes of smoke could be seen for miles around the village.

One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire and two breathing apparatus’ were also used.

It is not known at this stage if anyone was injured in the blaze.
