Police are treating the death of a man and dog in a caravan fire at a Lincolnshire holiday park as “unexplained”.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue discovered the bodies at the Heron Orchard Holiday Park near Holbeach on the morning of Sunday, March 13.

Police believe that the 33-year-old man killed in the fire was from the Holbeach area and had recently moved into the caravan.

Officers are currently working to confirm his identity and inform family and friends.

A post mortem will be conducted later today.

Lincolnshire Police are now working with fire investigators to establish the cause of the blaze.
