A 24-year-old man is in hospital with serious head injuries and three men have been arrested after an assault at a house in the West End in Lincoln.

Police were called to the house on Drake Street shortly after midnight on Saturday, April 30, after reports of an altercation.

A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with head injuries and later transferred to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham for surgery.

Three men have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently being questioned.

Update on Sunday, May 1: The three arrested men (aged 24, 25 and 34) have been released on police bail until June 2 to allow the investigation to continue. The injured man remains in hospital in a stable condition.
