Lincoln-based property solutions company Simons Group has been awarded a silver and two bronze accolades at the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s 2016 National Site Awards.

The awards were in recognition of the work that the firm completed on AG Barr at Magna Park (Silver), M&S’s Simply Food store at Meole Brace and John Lewis and Waitrose at Horsham (both Bronze).

Over 3,500 guests attended the awards held at venues in Edinburgh, London and Manchester.

The annual awards recognise the highest levels of consideration and care shown by sites registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme towards their neighbourhoods, the general public, their workforce and the environment.

They are judged by Scheme Monitors visiting the site and rating their considerate performance against the Code of Considerate Practice, set up to improve the image of the construction industry.

Mark Holden, Group Director of Construction for Simons said: “To see our teams recognised so positively amongst peers and competitors has been fantastic.

“Not only are we able to celebrate the best performance across our workforce, we are able to highlight how considerate our people and our schemes are, and how sites should be across the industry.

“Simons’ way of working is completely in tune with the Considerate Constructors Scheme and we are proud to be ambassadors and award winners. Long may it continue!“
