Continental market to set tastebuds tingling on return to Lincoln

A popular continental market will return to Lincoln for four days this week, offering shoppers an assortment of tasty treats and homemade gifts. A popular continental market will return to Lincoln for four days this week, offering shoppers an assortment of tasty treats and homemade gifts.

The Continental Market will be trading on Lincoln High Street from Wednesday, June 8 to Saturday, June 11 between 9am and 6pm.

Stalls will be bursting with foods to tempt the taste buds like Mediterranean Tapas, cooked fresh on site, a selection of Italian cheeses and meats, Greek Gyros and Moussaka as well as Spanish Churros and waffles.

In addition to the delicious Continental foods on offer, there will be some unique crafts and gifts available including some beautiful South American jewellery and hand made knitwear, a variety of traditional Russian Dolls and hand crafted flowerpot people.

Market Place Markets Manager, Matthew Hartwell said: “We always look forward to coming to Lincoln, and this June will be no different. We have some great traders joining us for this 4-day event with authentic products, not to be found anywhere else!

“If you’re not sure about something, just ask our welcoming traders who will be happy to help. This will certainly be the place to be this June!”

The Lincoln Business Improvement Group is welcoming the return of the market. Events & Promotions Manager Michael Armstrong said: “Shoppers and visitors will find a fantastic selection of traders from France, Germany, Poland, Holland and other areas and there will be something for the whole family to enjoy.

“Foods include freshly prepared Mediterranean Tapas, a selection of Italian cheeses and meat, Greek Gyros and Moussaka, as well as the highly popular Spanish Churros and waffles.”
