Major collision closes A180 near Grimsby

A three vehicle collision on the A180 near to the Immingham turnoff has closed both lanes eastbound. Update at 4.55pm: The A180 has reopened westbound but is still closed eastbound at the Stallingborough A1173 junction. A three vehicle collision on the A180 near to the Immingham turnoff has closed both lanes eastbound.

Update at 4.55pm: The A180 has reopened westbound but is still closed eastbound at the Stallingborough A1173 junction.

The crash involving two cars and a HGV happened just after the junction of the A1173 at 2.35pm.

Police, fire and rescue and ambulance crews were called to the incident.

The road is expected to remain closed until around 5.30pm.

The collision involved a grey Citron Xsara Picasso, a black Volkswagon Golf and a HGV.

There have been no indications of any injuries so far, however reports have shown one of the drivers is trapped in the vehicle.
