Police recover body from River Witham in Lincoln

Lincolnshire Police have recovered the body of a man from River Witham in Lincoln in the Stamp End area.

Nearby residents spotted the body in the river and reported it to police shortly after 10am on Wednesday, July 6.

The body was recovered from the water and taken away by the coroner for inspection.

The man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained and the family are being informed.
