North Kesteven District Council’s Executive Board Member for Leisure Cllr Lindsey Cawrey, who covered the 50 mile route – complete with four big climbs – alongside Leisure Contracts Manager Mike Lock in under four hours, said the Giant event was ‘extremely well organized and enthusiastically received by everyone who took part from keen club cyclists through to recreational riders’.
“The facilities at Doddington and the Giant store there, the organisation, and general logistics were all first rate,” she said.
“There was such positivity around such an excellent new event and it all reflected well on the District, our drive to increase physical activity and a developing partnership to encourage more family participation in sports.”
