An iconic former service bridge on Brayford Wharf East has now been fully demolished.

Final work is now taking place to tidy up the area following the demolition of the bridge.

The bridge was pulled down by CLS Demolition on behalf of the Estates and Campus Services team at the University of Lincoln.

Take a look back at the demolition process:

The university explained when they applied for permission to demolish the bridge that, due to the condition of the bridge, it was “structurally unsound and beyond economic repair.”
