A woman who sustained “life-changing” injuries after a two car crash in Lincoln is recovering in hospital.

As previously reported, emergency services were called to a collision involving two cars on Tritton Road.

The incident happened at around 10.53am on Wednesday, September 28 on Tritton Road near the LN6 development.

The woman was airlifted to Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham after the crash.

A man was also taken to hospital and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue officers were on scene to help release the woman from the other vehicle.

Many posted messages of support and well wished on social media to the family.

One family member responded with an update that the woman involved had suffered a ‘broken thigh bone, a broken knee cap, fractured her ribs and spine and has various cuts and bruises’.

The woman is currently recovering at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottinghamshire after being airlifted there yesterday.

Police are asking that anyone with any information about the accident should call 101 quoting incident number 128 of September 28.
