Lincolnshire Police have arrested a 17-year-old after a man was stabbed on Vernon Street in Lincoln.

Police cordoned off the road off Lincoln High Street just before 3pm on Monday, October 17 after reports of an assault.

Eyewitnesses said a man had been stabbed in the neck and police confirmed the victim had been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with a single stab wound.

His condition is described as stable.

Police said on Wednesday, October 19 at the 17-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident.
