Lincolnshire Independent candidate Cat Mills has won a by-election for the Cliff Villages ward of North Kesteven district council after the former councillor for the area resigned.
With 1,146 votes cast – a turnout of 26.52% – she won the seat with 721 votes.
Daniel Gray (Conservative) took 372 votes, with Aarron Smith (Liberal Democrat) winning 49 votes.

She had stepped down due to work commitments. She said it had been a “great pleasure” to serve the people of her community for the past five years.
The result of the election means the split of North Kesteven District Council remains unchanged.
