An iconic Tornado steam locomotive travelled through Lincoln over the weekend.

On Saturday, October 8, ‘The Magna Carta’ 60163 Tornado passed through Lincoln as it travelled from London.

Take a look at the train passing through Lincoln:

This was the locomotive’s first trip to the city since 2013.

The main line steam rail tour left from King’s Cross, travelling via Peterborough.

‘The Magna Carta’ was due to travel via Spalding but the line was blocked north of Peterborough so it diverted via the East Coast Main Line and Newark.

On the way home from Lincoln, the train went back towards Newark to head south through Grantham and down Stoke Bank.
