South Lincs Vets has launched an appeal to find the owners of a cat which was found with burnt feet and no whiskers following a Bonfire Night display.

The poor kitty was found on the morning of Wednesday, November 9, in a shed on London Road, Kirton and was then taken to Sutterton Veterinary Hospital.

She was found with burnt feet, singed fur and no whiskers, which vets suspect is the result of an unfortunate Bonfire Night incident.

Vets at the Sutterton Practice have said that the cat is very lucky to be alive and is now being treated for her burns.

A spokesperson for the practice posted on their Facebook page: “She was found this morning in a shed on London Road, Kirton.

“As you can see she looks a bit worse for wear.

“We believe she probably got caught in a bonfire over the weekend as all her fur is singed, she has no whiskers and all four feet are burnt.

“If this is the case she is very lucky to be alive, and lucky that a nice lady found her and brought her straight to our Sutterton Hospital.

“This lovely girl is now receiving fluids, pain relief and antibiotics along with dressings on all four feet.”
