An 18-year-old man from the Alford area has been seriously injured in a collision on Main Road, Sibsey.

As previously reported, the collision happened at 4.47pm on Monday, December 19 and involved a lorry and a Vauxhall Corsa.

The injured man, who was the driver of the Corsa, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham with serious injuries.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to release the casualty following the crash.

A section of the road was closed while emergency services were attending to the victim.
