A video released by Lincolnshire Police has offered residents some top tips on how to keep their homes protected from burglars and thieves over the Christmas period.
Lincolnshire Police Crime Reduction Tactical Adviser Sally Picker urges residents not to leave presents on show, to consider lighting a timer switch and marking their property during the five minute video.
She also advises that if you are away over the festive period, and have a trusted neighbour, ask them if they can make your house look occupied by picking up the mail, closing the curtains and parking in your drive if they have more than one vehicle.
