A man is being treated in hospital for injuries to his arm and face after being attacked from behind in Cleethorpes. A man is being treated in hospital for injuries to his arm and face after being attacked from behind in Cleethorpes.

The assault between 4.30am and 5am on Saturday, December 17, saw the 26-year-old victim walking along Grimsby Road, close to the Memorial Hall, when he was attacked.

Police believe the victim and the suspect were involved in a “verbal disagreement” in the Lite House Club earlier in the night.

The victim remains in Grimsby, Diana Princess of Wales Hospital.

A man, also 26, has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
