Man seriously injured after hit and run in Grimsby

A 29-year-old man was left seriously injured after he was hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing in Grimsby. The driver fled the scene. A 29-year-old man was left seriously injured after he was hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing in Grimsby. The driver fled the scene.

Police are appealing for witness of the crash, which happened at around 11.48 on Tuesday, November 29 on Freeman Street, Grimsby, to come forward.

The victim had been using the pedestrian crossing, close to the junction with New Market Street, when he was hit by a Ford Puma.

He suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Puma failed to stop at the scene.

Officers are looking for any witnesses that can help with investigations and are searching for the driver of a white van that was seen to help.

Police are also looking for the driver of a smaller white van that stopped at the crossing just before the collision took place.
