A man in his 70s has been taken to hospital after a crash on the A17.

The crash involving an HGV and Vauxhall Astra happened at around 11.30am on Monday, January 16 close to the Peppermint junction with the A151 near Holbeach.

The man driving the Astra has been rushed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, with police believing that his injuries are serious.

Three other people were injured as a result of the crash.

The driver of the lorry was arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to Lincolnshire Police should call 101 with incident reference number 140.

Diversions remain in place.
