Parents and families are being invited to a special remembrance service for babies at Pilgrim Hospital chapel in Boston later this month.

The service given by hospital chaplain Reverend Barbara Hutchinson will be held on Sunday, January 29 at 2pm.

All parents who have suffered a miscarriage or stillbirth or whose baby has died around the time of birth are invited to the service.

There will be an opportunity to light a candle during the service and to have their baby’s name read out as well as to meet other parents afterwards.

Christine Bonneywell, lead chaplain at Pilgrim Hospital said: “This service gives bereaved parents the opportunity to come together, to remember their babies and to support each other.

“The service is not just to remember the pain of loss but also to remember the gift of children, however short their lives might be.”
