Strong winds heading to Lincoln, Met Office warns

Gusts of up to 60mph could hit parts of Lincolnshire on Wednesday morning, forecasters have warned.

A yellow weather warning covering parts of the county, including the Lincoln area, has been issued by the Met Office from 1am to 11am on Wednesday, January 11.

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for wind valid from 1am to 11am on Wednesday, January 11

The northern part of Lincolnshire is most likely to be affected by the strong winds, with places such as Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Market Rasen and Brigg within the warning zone.

The gusts could move as far south as Lincoln and Woodhall Spa, but are likely to not be as strong on most of the Lincolnshire coast and the south of the county.

Forecasters from the Met Office have said that some disruption to road travel is likely.
