Driver hospitalised after A57 crash with van near Lincoln, police searching for van driver

A person has been hospitalised after a crash with a van on the A57 at Drinsey Nook west of Lincoln. Police are still trying to trace the driver of the van.

A blue Vauxhall Astra is said to have crashed into a fence just after the junction at around 3.20pm and Lincolnshire Police have said a white transit van was also involved but left the scene.

A police spokesperson said the van was later found nearby, but that officers were still making enquiries to trace the driver.

The driver of the Astra was taken to hospital, however their injuries are not described as serious.

No arrests have been made and no other injuries have been reported at the time of writing. Any witnesses are asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 299.

Severe delays have been reported in the area, however the road is still passable at the time of writing.
