A man who pleaded guilty to stealing from a charity box at Lincoln Cathedral will be sentenced later this week.

Lee Peter Hessey, 37, of St Rumbold Street, Lincoln, admitted stealing the money at a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 20.

It is unknown how much money exactly was taken from the charity box on October 30 last year.

Hessey has been remanded on bail until he is sentenced at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Friday, February 24.
