Blind Date is currently on the search for Lincolnshire singletons to take part in a new series of the show in 2017.

The programme is returning to TV screens after a 14-year break and aims to match single men and women based on answers to questions one singleton asks another.

To apply, Lincolnshire hopefuls must email [email protected]. The closing date for this is March 12. Applicants must be aged 18 or over and must live in the UK.

The new series will see a new presenter following TV legend Cilla Black’s death in 2015.

There has been no official confirmation of who will present the show, but rumours are spreading that Olly Murs could be a favourite for the role.

Blind Date originally ran on Saturday nights from November 30, 1985 to May 31, 2003 on ITV.

The new series is expected to air on Friday nights on Channel 5 and will be produced by So Television and Stellify Media.

The show sees three singles of the same sex introduced to the audience before being asked a question by a singleton of the opposite sex.

That singleton would only be able to hear the contestants and then would choose a person to go on a date with based on their answer.
