The body of a man believed to be in his 50s has been found in Grimsby.

The man was found at around 4.15am on Wednesday, March 29 in the area of Cleethorpe Road flyover.

Despite the best efforts of ambulance crews, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have said this incident is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “We were called to the scene at around 4.15am yesterday (Wednesday, March 29) where the man was sadly pronounced dead by ambulance crews.

“While he is yet to be formally identified, he is believed to be a local man aged in his 50s.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious at this time and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

“Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.”
