Officers were contacted by Pilgrim Hospital at around 9pm on Tuesday, March 14, after a man in his 30s had been hospitalised with an injury to his head.

He had been found sitting near B&M and Dunelm in the town centre and was unable to give details about how he had been injured.

Police have cordoned off the area as part of the investigation.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “As we are unable to currently rule out that he has been the victim of a crime, enquiries are ongoing.”

Anyone with information should contact the force on 101, quoting incident 453 of March 14.
