Second stolen van burnt out in Lincoln, thefts believed to be linked

Lincolnshire Police have said a new report that a van was stolen and burnt out in Lincoln is likely to be linked to a similar incident during the same period.

As reported earlier, a silver branded van was stolen from an address in Skellingthorpe on Tuesday, February 28. It was later found burnt out in Wooden Lane in Stow.

Officers have now said a white Ford Transit van was also stolen from the industrial estate on Pyke Road in North Hykeham between 7pm on February 28 and 8am on March 1.

The vehicle was found burnt out in Stow, Gainsborough.

Lincolnshire Police said: “The vehicle had a registration of PY08 0EW and anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident 52 of March 1.

“This incident is believed to be linked to the van that was stolen from Skellingthorpe – also found in Stow.”
