Lincolnshire Reporter launched in July 2016 and has quickly captured audiences across the region, which was recognised through the shortlist in the Best Launch (or Relaunch) category of the Online Media Awards.
Lincolnshire Reporter is shortlisted against industry heavyweights including The Independent, The Sunday Times, Financial Times, Glasgow Live, The i Paper, Sky Sports and The Bureau of Investigative Journalism.
The Lincolnite’s new look website launched in Spring 2016, is shortlisted in the Best Local News Site category alongside major local and regional titles including London Evening Standard, Liverpool Echo, Belfast Telegraph, ITV News Central, Wales Online, Bristol Cable, Peterborough Telegraph and Warrington Guardian.
Daniel Ionescu, Managing Editor of The Lincolnite and Lincolnshire Reporter, said: “These shortlists in the Online Media Awards alongside major national and international players is a testament that young teams can not only compete nationally but also innovate as well as serve their communities. It’s a proud day at the Stonebow Media offices and a good occasion to celebrate with cake!”
Stefan Pidluznyj, Associate Editor of Lincolnshire Reporter, said: “For Lincolnshire Reporter to have been nominated alongside national giants after only being launched in July shows the remarkable progress that has been made in just eight months in building a dedicated audience and producing quality, unique and vibrant local journalism on a daily basis.”
The winners of the Online Media Awards will be announced on June 1 at a ceremony at Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in London.
