Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash involving a car and a wheelchair in Grimsby.

The incident happened at around 12pm on Friday, March 24 on Station Approach.

A 53-year-old man in an electric wheelchair was crossing the road close to The Bank pub when he was involved in a crash with a white taxi believed to be driven by a woman.

The driver, believed to be a woman, stopped briefly before driving away without providing details. Photo: Google

The driver briefly stopped before leaving the area without exchanging details.

The man then went to hospital and was told he had a fractured shin.
