Woman arrested on suspicion of arson after Lincoln phone box fire

A woman in her 20s has been arrested after a city centre phone box was set alight in the early hours of the morning.

Police were called to the fire at a quarter past midnight on Tuesday, April 4 on Silver Street.

A police officer was photographed by passers-by extinguishing the blaze inside the kiosk.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of arson and remains in custody at the time of writing.

It is not believed anyone suffered any injuries as a result of the fire.
