Police are investigating an allegation of public disorder at Cleethorpes railway station and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The incident happened on April 5 between 5.30pm and 6.45pm.

A man, described as under the influence of alcohol, entered the booking office to enquiry about trains to Barnsely.

He is said to have become abusive and threatening to the member of staff on duty and to members of the public.

Investigating officer PC Neil Clarke said: “I am keen to speak to the man described as believe he has vital information that could help with the investigation.

“Everyone has the right to work and travel in a safe environment without feeling threatened or intimidated.

“The man is described as a white man in his early 30s, average build, 5’10”, shaved head, possible tooth missing. Wearing a grey coloured round necked t-shirt, dark coloured shorts and spoke with a deep Yorkshire accent.”
