A driver of a car and five children have been taken to hospital following two crashes in Grimsby.

The first incident happened at around 12.40pm on Tuesday, June 6 on Littlefield Lane.

The crash involved three vehicles: a green Land Rover Freelander, a red Hyundai i10 and a white Vauxhall Vivaro van.

One of the drivers involved suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The second incident happened at around 2.45pm later that day on Ladysmith Road.

A bus is reported to have collided with a car.

There were five children and the driver in the car at the time of the collision.

All five children were taken to hospital to be assessed for their injuries, none of which are thought to be serious.

The road was closed for a while to allow for the car’s occupants to be taken out and recovery of both vehicles.
