Audio of the moment the two Spalding teenage killers confessed to the murders of Elizabeth and Katie Edwards has been released.

Lucas Markham, then 14, along with his girlfriend Kim Edwards, brutally murders Kim’s mum and younger sister as they slept on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

The pair were originally jailed for 20 years, however following an appeal, sentences were reduced to 17-and-a-half years.

During his confession, Markham explained what happened on the evening of April 13 and how he brutally killed Elizabeth, 49, and Katie, 13.

In the confession, he said: “She [Kim] looks out the window, she sees me there, she waves, I put my thumbs up and then go to the back of the building.

“She opens the bathroom window, I pass my bag through, I get through myself and then she opens my bag and I take a knife out and I pass her a knife, just, I don’t even know why I did that.

“She held the knife, but never used the knife, the knife is still in the bathroom with the other knives and then I went into her mum’s room, stabbed her in her neck where she was asleep on her side, and smothered her face with a pillow.

“After I knew she was gone, I went into Katie’s room, which was the same room as Kim’s, and I thought I stabbed her but I’m not 100% sure if it was her or the mattress and then I smothered her face with a pillow too.”
