Pistons in the Park
This motor festival is expected to be a big hit with all of the family this summer. With a variety of exhibitions, entertainment and food on show it’s not to be missed.
Where: Lincolnshire Showground, Grange-de-Lings, Lincoln LN2 2NA
When: Saturday, August 12, from 10am.
Price: Adults £15, children £10, family ticket £35, under 5s free
Pistons in the Park is set to be a great family day out.
Belton House
The National Trust owned home, situated near Grantham, is a great day out for all of the family. Guided tours of the house and chances to explore the gardens are great for people any age and the adventure playground is a fantastic opportunity for youngsters to let off some steam.

Another member of the National Trust, the gardens and home can be found in Gunby near Spilsby. Families have the chance to explore the gardens, visit three floors of the house and play a variety of fun games on the lawn.

It’s time for children to grab their favourite teddy and go on an adventure to the National Trust castle. Watch your teddy zip wire off the top of the Great Tower before enjoying a picnic in the grounds.
International Tiger Day at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park
The winner of East Lindsey Business Award for Visitor Attraction of the Year 2017 will be celebrating International Tiger Day where guests will be able to meet TV presenter Michaela Stracken.
The event will also offer guests half price entry to Lincolnshire Wildlife Park.

The largest village show in England is back again for its 150th anniversary and it’s jam-packed with family fun throughout the weekend. A firework display will also take place on the Saturday night as livestock, entertainment and food stalls will decorate the day.

The popular farm near Wragby is preparing for a summer of fun with various activities taking place across the summer holidays. Regardless of the weather, family events such as sheep racing and water fights will be taking place across the next six weeks.
When: Throughout the summer holidays – July 20 to September 3, 10am to 5pm

With events running every Wednesday and Sunday in August, the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway is something different for the family to enjoy. Guided tours can be arranged by pre-booking appointments and a chance to look around the vintage train will be available.
When: Every Sunday in August and every Wednesday in August except (August 30). Trains run hourly between 10.45am and 3.45pm.
Just because it’s called the summer holidays doesn’t guarantee fine weather. Many family-friendly films will be coming to the vintage cinema throughout the holidays and it offers a more nostalgic experience than modern-day picture houses.

This year is the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight so what better way to celebrate than by taking the family to the visitor centre? Guided tours of the hangars are available and will provide a great insight for everyone.

An audience with King Henry VIII, Gainsborough Old Hall
The famous monarch, well known for having six wives, will come to life at Gainsborough Old Hall in August and youngsters will be able to ask King Henry questions.

Also known as Huttoft Beach, instead of going to the traditional beaches in the county why not try one of the quieter ones? Very popular with walkers and dog friendly, as long as the weather holds off it’s a great cheap day out to the coast.

The Stamford Arts centre provides a number of entertainment for families from sculptures, dancing and drawing to theatre and films. Ideal for a rainy day, the centre has a host of events throughout the summer.

Families have the chance to explore animals under the sea at the Skegness Aquarium. No current details have been announced for what special events are heading their way, but be sure to keep track of the website for more information.
