When is it?

Ladies Day 2017 at Market Rasen Racecourse will take place on Saturday, July 22.

The gates will officially open at 11.35am, with the first race set for 1.35pm.

The last race will take place at 5.05pm, with the event officially closing at 6.45pm.

How to get there

Access to the racecourse can be made via the M1, A1 and M18.

From the A1:

Take the exit sign posted to Newark, Lincoln A46 and Newark North Gate Train Station. Then follow the A46 all the way to Market Rasen.

From the M1:

Exit at junction 24 and follow the A453 into Nottingham following A52 then onto the A46 to Newark.

From the M18:

Exit onto the M180 sign posted to Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Humberside Airport. Then take the exit onto the A15 to Lincoln. Then take an exit onto the A631.

Market Rasen has its own railway station and is approximately one mile from the racecourse for those who wish to travel by train. 

Parking

The course offers free car parking in the public car parks.

Alternatively, parking is available in the course’s picnic car parks, where you can watch the racing from the comfort of your own car.

The picnic car parks are accessible from the Willingham and Legsby Roads at a charge of £5 per car and £10 for mini buses.

County Enclosure:

Advanced Single: 1-9 tickets with 10% discount £24.30 pp
Advanced Group: 10-19 tickets with 20% discount £21.60 pp
On The Day County Enclosure: £27.00 pp

Tattersalls Enclosure:

Advanced Single: 1-9 tickets with 10% discount £18.00 pp
Advanced Group: 10-19 tickets with 20% discount £16.00 pp
On The Day Tattersalls Enclosure: £20.00 pp

What should I wear?

Both enclosures have different dress codes, with Tattersalls Enclosure being a little more casual, although on Ladies Day be prepared to dress to impress for the style award!

County Enclosure:

Smart casual is required in this enclosure.

Jackets and ties are not compulsory, but are encouraged.  Men must have a collared shirt of some kind and tailored shorts are allowed.

Strictly no:

  • Ripped jeans
  • T-shirts
  • Collarless shirts
  • Beachwear
  • Trainers
  • Unduly casual or extreme attire
  • Fancy dress

Tattersalls Enclosure:

Casual clothing is ideal for this enclosure including tailored shorts and cropped trousers.

Strictly no:

  • Singlets
  • Bare tops

Moderate fancy dress is allowed within the Tattersalls Enclosure.

Entertainment

As well as watching the races, there will be a competition for the best dressed lady.

Entertainment will also include a live DJ set by Lincs FM and ITV4 will be at the venue to host this year’s Summer Plate race.
