Golfers across the city will soon be able to shop and play at the new £250,000 American Golf store following its relocation in Lincoln.
The brand, which has had a store on Valentine Retail Park for some time, is moving into a brand new purpose built shop next to TK Maxx.
Customers can test the products in the shop’s putting zone and will be able to receive advice off a PGA Professional on site, which will officially open on Friday, August 25.
The store hopes to help golfers improve their game and aims to have more of a club atmosphere as part of the company trailing their game improvement zones.
American Golf also has a store at the Lincoln Golf Centre at Thorpe on the Hill after investing £100,000.
Head of Property at American Golf, Kam Birk, said: “Local golfers have really taken the new development at the Lincoln Golf Centre to their hearts since we opened at the end of 2016, so when the opportunity arose to improve our retail park offer, it was too good an opportunity to miss.
“We’ve had a store on Valentine Retail Park for some time but now we’re moving to a brand new 3,600 square foot unit at the front of the park next to TK Maxx.
“The facilities will be second to none and with the two venues on offer in Lincoln we’re delighted to be able to help local golfers get the most out of their game whether its while they’re out shopping or out hitting some balls.”

The issue is very topical this week after Tom Foley’s decision to step away from international match officiating for the foreseeable future after a “torrent of criticism and abuse,” but will continue to officiate in the Premiership.
Lincolnshire’s healthcare is preparing for winter with projects like acute respiratory hubs to address the expected surge in demand at this time of the year.
Rebecca Neno, Winter Director for the Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board, stressed the significance of these hubs for local respiratory care, addressing the NHS’s recurrent winter challenges. The Clinical Assessment Service, via the 111 helpline, swiftly connects Lincolnshire callers to local clinicians for home assessments.
