Ever fancied exploring space via a telescope?

Ever fancied exploring space via a telescope? Well, a Lincolnshire farm is to open up later this year for the first ever beginners stargazing workshop.

Chambers Farm Wood, near Wragby will be putting on the class on Friday, November 10 between 6pm and 9.30pm.

People who attend will behave the wonder of the night sky explained to them and will learn how to use telescopes.

There are hopes that those who attend will get the chance to look at star clusters, distant galaxies and a comet.

Organiser Richard Darn said: “The first time I observed in the wood was over 15 years ago and I was awed by the quality of the night sky, with the Milky Way arching overhead.

“There are lots of people who are totally intrigued by the stars, but also feel a bit lost in space. This is the event for them.

“We’ll use an informal approach so people can take away lots of useful knowledge and weather permitting we’ll go outside for a wonderful star party.”

Tickets cost £16 and will go ahead regardless of the weather, and is open to adults and any children over 12.

Limited spaces are available and to book your place call 0775 367 0038, email [email protected] or book tickets on Eventbrite.
