Proposals for 120 new homes in Swinderby await a decision from a council planning committee next week.

The plans will be discussed at a meeting at North Kesteven District Council on Tuesday, August 8.

If approved, 120 new homes will be built on land off Moor Lane, just to the north of the A46 Newark to Lincoln Road, and was formerly used for vegetable washing.

Plans would see 120 new homes built in Swinderby

The land was previously purchased by the Produce World Group in October 2014 for their groceries business, however the company was later moved elsewhere.

Proposals for the site now include 120 dwellings, up to 20 units for senior living retirement accomodation, a communal play/recreational space, a community car park and a shop.

Affordable housing would also be built on the 1,500 sqm site, however it is unknown how many of these there will be at the time of writing.

It has been recommended that the plans are approved.
