Neighbourhood policing teams are asking for help and information after vandals caused significant damage at a cricket pitch on the outskirts of Lincoln.

The incident happened at Scothern Cricket Club, located behind the village hall.

The sight screen at the wicket end of the cricket pitch has been damaged.

Boundary rope has also been pulled onto the field causing approximately £1,000 worth of damage, officers said.

In an alert to residents, officers asked that anyone with information calls 101 quoting incident number 353 of July 31.
